Vahojärvi on Pirkanmaalla Parkanossa Vahojärven kylässä sijaitseva järvi, joka kuuluu Kokemäenjoen vesistössä Ikaalisten reitin valuma-alueen Aurejärven valuma-alueeseen. Järven pituus on 3,6 kilometriä. Sen leveys on 2,1 kilometriä ja pinta-ala 265 hehtaaria. Järven suurin saari Talassaari on 150 metriä pitkä. Kätköltä on näkymä edessä siintävään Haisevansaareen ja järven isolle selälle. Vahojärvi on lähellä Seitsemisen kansallispuistoa.

Järven pohjoispäässä ja sen etelärannalla Haisevanojan vieressä sijaitsee kaksi Vahojärven kyläseuran ylläpitämää uimarantaa. Kummaltakin uimarannalta löytyy siisti pukukoppi, roska-astia, ja hiekkaranta jossa väsyneiden kätköilijöiden on mukava pulahtaa. Pidäthän paikat siistinä!
Kätkössä on kynä, lokivihko ja tilaa matkalaisille. Kätkö on periaatteessa talvilöydettävä, mutta lumisina talvina kinokset todennäköisesti estävät kätkön löytymisen. Loggaathan mahdolliset huoltotarpeet erillisellä huoltopyynnöllä! Kiitos!

Lake Vahojärvi is a lake located in the village of Vahojärvi, in the southern parts of the town of Parkano and near the Seitseminen National Park. Parkano itself forms the northern part of the Pirkanmaa region in Western Finland; its northern parts border the South Ostrobothnia region. The Vahojärvi lake is part of the Kokemäenjoki river basin, eventually emptying its waters in the Gulf of Bothnia at the town of Pori on the west coast. The lake is 3.6km long and 2.1km wide at its widest part. Its waters cover 265 hectars. The lake has a number of small islands, the biggest being Talassaari. The cache sports a nice view of the Haisevansaari island and the lake proper.
The lake has two small public beaches with changing rooms and trash disposal. Both beaches are maintained by volunteers of the local village society. Please keep the places clean! Highly recommended for weary cachers on suitable summer days!
The cache has a pencil, log book, and space for travelers. The cache can be found any time of the year, but on snowy winters the deep snow may make the cache impossible to get to. If the cache needs maintenance, please log a separate maintenance needed log in addition to your visit. Thanks!
