Wikipedia kertoo: "Mikael Agricolan kirkko on Helsingin Punavuoressa sijaitseva kirkko. Se rakennettiin vuosina 1933–1935. Rakennus on tyyliltään lähinnä funktionalismia. Kirkon on suunnitellut arkkitehti Lars Sonck (1870–1956). Sonckia avusti arkkitehti Arvo Muroma. Kirkko vihittiin 14. huhtikuuta 1935." Nykyisestä toiminnasta: 1. Kirkko toimii Helsingin tuomiokirkkoseurakunnan nuorisotyön keskuksena 2. Tämä kirkko on valittu kaiken kokeellisen toiminnan pohjaksi Agricolaprojektin muodossa 3. Tuomasmessusta, joka kokoontuu sunnuntaisin klo 18:00 kirkossa (yli 500 ihmistä keskimäärin/sunnuntai) 2. Agricolamessusta, joka kokoontuu keskiviikkoisin klo 19:00 ja edustaa tyyliltään uutta aikakautta (katso traileri: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80t7ytGFJyk) Kätkö on perustettu nuorisotyönohjaajalle, joka toimi ansiokkaasti pari vuotta Agricolan nuorten toiminnassa ja sai heräteltyä persoonallisella tavalla nuorten vapaaehtoisten (Kätyrit) toiminnan aktiiviseksi. Työntekijä oli/on todella aktiivinen Kätköilyn harrastaja! Me halusimme perustaa hänelle ja hänen kunniakseen tämän Kätkön, jotta hän sen kautta olisi aina luonamme ja muistoissamme. About the current functions; 1. The church operates as a Helsinki Cathedral parish youth ministry Center 2. This church has been selected as the basis for all the experimental activities in the form of ‘Agricolaproject’ 3. On the side with the church is a café Blossom, whose products can be found raw cakes and other special products Nowadays this church is known by: 1. Thomas Mass, that gathers 6pm on every Sunday (an average of more than 500 people / Sunday) 2. Agricola Mass, that gathers 7pm on every Wednesday this service’s style represent new era 3. By his own personalized way he awakened youth ministry’s voluntary work active. (by using the characters of the movie Minion’s) This former worker used to be/is an eager geocache finder. We wanted to have him always with us and in our memories by establishing this cache for his honor. We want to honor one of our Master Minion with this light challenge!
