Because we are getting to the season where avoiding shopping malls is going to be a really prudent idea, this cache mob was born. You can truthfully tell the spousal unit, "Sorry Dear. I would like to shopping with you, but there are caches in Bowie that need my name on them."
A flash mob happens when a lot of people gather together all at once, in an unexpected way from the point of view of others in the area. A Cache Mob happens when a group of Geocachers get together - you never know what will happen next.
Schedule:
Before 8:00AM - Arrive at GZ. Do not make eye contact with other cachers
8:00AM - Suddenly congregate. Become a ruly mob.
8:05AM - Sign log and make plans for the next step
8:15AM - March around singing Thanksgiving songs and ditties. [1]
8:31AM - Depart, pretending it was all a result of indigestion. Some folks may choose to take on the Warriors and Brothers Puzzle Trail but that is completely optional.
[1] - If anyone knows any, please attempt to teach them to the rest of the group.
Cache Mobs are a quick-moving event with little time for socializing, but anyone who wants to stay on afterwards and enjoy the morning touring the area while chatting with your fellow geocachers are welcome to do so! We look forward to seeing all of our geocaching friends and meeting those of you whom we've not had the pleasure of meeting yet out on the trails!
The optional trip for the WAB Series should take 4-5 hours mostly on a paved bike path. The addition of multiple sets of eyes on this trail is pretty much required. Some of the hides are insidious.
