Honden moeten aan de lijn
Advent is de benaming voor de aanloopperiode naar kerst. De naam advent komt van het Latijnse woord adventus, dat komst betekent. In de adventperiode bereiden christenen zich voor op het kerstfeest en wordt de geboorte van Jezus herdacht en zijn wederkomst verwacht.
De advent begint vier zondagen voor kerstmis en eindigt op 24 december. Hierdoor is de lengte van
de adventperiode verschillend, maar telt advent wel altijd 4 zondagen. Voor veel kinderen begint het aftellen naar kerst op 1 december met een adventkalender van 24 hokjes. Als je geluk hebt zit er in elk hokje een deurtje met daarachter een vakje met een chocolaatje of een speeltje.
Voor Geocachers is er dit jaar ook een adventkalender. Met 24 caches, de meeste zijn micro's, tellen we af naar de kerst. Elke dag één cache. In deze caches zitten geen chocolaatjes maar aanwijzingen. Verzamel ze alle 24, dan kun je op eerste kerstdag op zoek naar de bonus.
In de eerste helft van januari 2017 wordt een event georganiseerd. Houd de website in de gaten voor meer details over datum, tijd en locatie.
De caches blijven tot 1 april 2017 liggen. Dan worden de caches opgeruimd en de listings gearchiveerd.
Deze adventserie is tot stand gekomen met medewerking van Staatsbosbeheer. Als wederdienst wil ik de deelnemers vragen om de rommel die je onderweg tegenkomt op te pakken en in de vuilnisbakken te deponeren of mee naar huis te nemen. Zo houden we samen dit prachtige gebied opgeruimd.
Log een "Needs Maintenance" als de cache niet in orde is en heb dan even geduld. Dit jaar hebben we weer veel hulp en ondersteuning van De Snuffelaars die door de week in actie kunnen komen. Foxy en ik hebben een full time baan dus we kunnen alleen in de weekeinden de caches onderhouden. Daarnaast gelden onderstaande regels ook voor ons.
Het bos is alleen toegankelijk tussen zonsopgang en zonsondergang. Alle caches liggen binnen 5 meter van de paden. Ga niet verder het bos in.
Honden moeten aan de lijn. Naast dat hun eigen veiligheid in het geding kan komen, mag ook de rust en winterslaap van dieren niet verstoord worden.

The Advent begins four Sundays before Christmas and ends on December 24th. As a result, the length of
the Advent period can differ but it has always four Sundays in it. For many children begin the countdown to Christmas starts on December 1st. with an Advent calendar that has 24 little doors. If you are lucky, behind each door is a box with a chocolate or a toy.
This year there is also an Advent calendar specialized for geocachers. With 24 caches, most are micros, we count down to Christmas. Every day one cache. In these caches you will not find chocolates, but you will find clues instead. Collect all 24 of them and as a reward you can go looking for the Bonus cache on Christmas day.
An event will be organized in the first half of January 2017. Keep eye on the website for more details on the date, time and location.
The caches will remain in place until April first 2017. Then the area will be cleared from the caches and the listings will be archived. Happy Hunting
This series has been made possible with the cooparation of Staatsbosbeheer. As a return I want to ask all participants to pick up the trash that you find on your way and to dump it in a nearby garbage can or take it home with you and dispose it there. In this manner we keep this beautiful area clean and leave it for everybody to enjoy to the max.
Please Log a "Needs Maintenance" if you find the cache to be in a poor condition and exercise some patience. Foxy and I have full time jobs which only leaces us time to maintain the caches in the weekends. This year we are supported by "De Snuffelaars". When needed, they can come in action on weekdays. Be aware however, that we also have to adhere to the rules below.
Access to the forrest is only allowed between sunrise and sunset. All caches are placed within 5 meters from the tracks. Please do not go further in to the forrest.
Dogs must be kept on leash at all times. Beside that strolling around could affect their own safety, the animals that live in the forrest should be allowed to rest and hibernate without being disturbed.
The caches remain until April 1, 2017. Then the caches are cleared and the listings archived
