Geocache Description:

This is a three stage multi taking in two WM's and gz. The given coordinates will take you to a small memorial which is dedicated to the 'Silent Service' which has strong links to the town of Blyth.

Unveiled on 26th September 1979 the anchor is from the submarine HMS Tiptoe (P332) which was scrapped in Portsmouth in 1975.

This memorial was originally at the eastern end of the market place but was moved a few years later for redevelopment to the area.

The stages are now all wheelchair friendly.

Parking is available at all coords but on busy times at the first stage you may have to scout around even though there are two car parks just seconds away.

If you do this during the week I would avoid gz at lunchtimes as people take a lunch break or have their sandwiches there. Also there is no need to go anywhere near the plants as the cache is close to, but not on the wall, fence or in the garden.

This is my first hide so please let me know how it works out for you.

Once collected the following numbers for the next stage will be:

N55° 07 abc W001. 30. def

Where A = The number of letters in the type of officer the Rear Admiral was/is.

Where B = The number of letters in the Rear Admirals surname.

Where C = The number of letters in the last word mentioned.

Where D = Apart from the Rear Admiral how many other names are mentioned?

Where E = The number of letters in the second word in the upper plaque minus the

the number of the Rear Admirals initials.

Where F = The number of letters in the second name of the nearby path.

To clarify, while looking at the memorial the path sign is to your right.

Checksum is 19

At the new coordinates (ignore the two new 'headstone' type memorials headed 'Lest we forget') the information required will send you to:

N55° 07 ghi W001. 30. jkl

Where G = The number who fell on the one on the left.

Where H  = The total number of Bells on the centre one.

Where I = The number of Elliots (all spellings) on the one on the right

Where J = The number of names beginning with Q on the centre one minus the

number of names beginning with Q on the one on the right.

Where K = The number of letters in the place where Pte Neilson fell

Where L = The number of letters in the third word on the one on the left.

Checksum = 28

"If anybody would like to expand this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Just-us-Two know first at justustwo1013@gmail.com so they can keep track of the memorial numbers and names to avoid any duplication.

Congratulations to the youngest ones on a first to find.
