O cache está escondido na Praça Batista Campos, ponto turístico do centro da cidade, que, além de ser considerada por muitos uma das praças mais bonitas do Brasil, é tombada pelo IPHAN. Fica num bairro que recebe o mesmo nome da praça, em homenagem a um dos líderes da Cabanagem. A praça como é hoje foi inaugurada em 1904 pelo intendente Antônio Lemos, com paisagismo influenciado pelo romantismo inglês. Nela, você vai encontrar garças procurando por peixes no córrego artificial, coretos de ferro, pontes, caramanchões, um castelinho folly, plantas ornamentais e belas árvores da região. A calçada que rodeia a praça é pavimentada com mosaico português com motivos marajoaras. Para quem não é da cidade, vale a pena passear por essa praça num fim de tarde para jogar conversa fora e tomar uma água de coco.
(The cache is hidden at Batista Campos Square, a tourist attraction in the city centre, that, besides being considered by many one of the most beautiful squares in Brazil, is also a listed place by the National Artistic and Historic Heritage Insitute. It is located in a neighbourhood that receives the same name as the square — they are named after one of the leaders of the Cabanagem revolution. The square as it is today was inaugurated in 1904 by Intendant Antônio Lemos, with a landscape design influenced by English Romanticism. When visiting this square, you will find egrets looking for fishes in the artificial pond, iron bandstands, bridges, pergolas, a folly castle, ornamental plants and beautiful native trees. The sidewalks surrounding the square is paved with Portuguese cobblestone with marajoara motifs. For those who are out of town, you should try the experience of spending a late afternoon wandering by the square to chitchat and drink some coconut water, like locals do.)
