CaoimheBaxter6: This one has gone. I'll re-work it and put a new cache out in the new loop around the area I'm planning.

Geocache Description:

My second Church Micro hide is based around St. Martin's Church in Exminster. There is nothing at the given coordinates, but they mark the start of the path to the church.

The church:

The parish church of St. Martin in Exminster, falling under the Diocese of Exeter, is a Grade I listed building built in the Perpendicular style in the late 14th - 15th Century. It has been heavily restored on two occasions in the 19th Century, in 1841 and 1852. Inside the Peamore Chapel there is a plaster ceiling dating from 1633. One monument of note is that of Otho Petre, of Bowhay, who died in 1607.

The graveyard contains the war graves of eight British serviceman from World War I, including Major-General Robert George Kekevich, and three from World War II.

The cache:

This is a simple two-stage multi requiring the collection of some numbers from two monuments within the churchyard and the finding of a final container a short walk away. The final is a magentic nano cache. Tweezers may be needed to remove the log.

Head into the churchyard from the headline coordinates. On the grassed area to the left, you will find two graves of men by the name of Walter Smee (they are a short distance apart).

A = The date in March on which Walter John Nugent Smee was born

B = The date in January on which he died

C = The date in June on which Walter Hughes Thomas Smee was born

D = The date in May on which he died

A short distance away from these there is a memorial to John Bethrey, who was Head Attendant of the nearby Devon County Asylum.

E = The date in December on which he died

F = The number of points on the star which makes up the top portion of the memorial.

The coordinates of the physical cache are:

N 50º (C + D + E) . (B - A) C (C - F)

W 003º (B - 1) . (A * 3) F

The cache itself should be a fairly straightforward find.
