War Memorial #210 ~ Hinxworth
Hinxworth clock tower war memorial stands at the side of High Street close to vthe village green and Market Square and takes the form of a clock tower with two dials and three tablets inserted. Listed on the memorial are 12 names of those who died in World War 1 and one for World War 2. The memorial was originally unveiled by Mrs. A Clutterbuck and Lt. Col. Clutterbuck and dedicated by Rev Canon Nairn of Baldock 24th March 1920 and it cost £250, the builder were Messrs F J Bailey of Ashwell and Mr. Denis M. Wilson. The tower was subsequently restored in 1997.
