Historic Fire Station Ponsonby Traditional Geocache

The area of Three Lamps near Ponsonby , Herne Bay and College Hill has many historical landmarks !   The Old Post Offfice , Fire Station and Leys Institute and Gymnasium are 3 that spring to mind.

The cache is hidden in St Mary's Reserve . You can read more about these buildings on the new information Board there .

The Fire Station further up Ponsonby Road has gone also...and there is huge new purpose built facilityat the Grey Lynn end of Williamson Ave ! 

Over the past 18 years I have been nannying in this area , I have been bringing my "charges " countless times to this Library over the road from the cache site . And the children are great readers and have loved coming here ! Plus they have great Holiday programmes . 

Back to the cache !!!!!!!  It is NOT under any Big or small rocks ,,,,,Near ground level ,,,,,And in a natural hidey hole , near to the brick wall of the old fire station ( But not in the wall ! )  Be stealthy .
