Memorial and Museum Corps Franc Pommiès
This memorial is dedicated to the Corps Franc Pommiès prestigious formation of the Resistance who, by sabotaging the factory Hispano-Suiza (Alstom) avoided the public the cruel consequences of an aerial bombardment during the Second World War.
This army, organized by General Andre Pommiès Magnoac has made the region a hard core of the French Resistance.
In 1940, Pommiès receives the charge of secretly mobilizing the army in the Upper and Lower Pyrenees, Landes and Gers.
The Franc Corps has been active in the liberation of the territory.
