Roffey Road Halt was built to accomodate the sudden growth in housing which did not occur. Just under 10 years later, the station closed only to re-open on the May 3rd 1920. The station remained open for just open under 17 years before being closed down for the final time in 1937.
The only visible signs of its existence are a number of concrete posts that supported the platforms.
Over 100 years since it opened to cope with the housing growth they are now trying to build yet more houses around Horsham and this looks a likely spot, they were trying to get another rail station as part of the planning consent.
