The SideTracked Series

We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy (cos there aren’t many motorways in Wales!). But what about public transport users? SideTracked caches are intended to provide quick cache-and-dashes at train stations. For more information on SideTracked caches, please visit the SideTracked web site.

Llangollen Station

Information on the station is already available and can be found at SideTracked - Llangollen GC5WZ60. However, even more information on the history of the station can be found here.

SideTracked - Llangollen Flashmob

Five of us are traveling to North Wales for part of our summer holiday plans and we are holding this flashmob to celebrate that fact and to meet as many local geocachers as possible. It is also being held to celebrate SideTracked Day 2016 (see details below).

The is an official SideTracked Series event and it will take place at the listed coordinates, on the bridge opposite the railway station as follows:

Date: Wednesday 10th August 2016

Time: 7:30pm to 8:00pm

There will be an event log to sign and a container for small TBs and Geocoins. However, unfortunately due to the event's location it is unsuitable for large trackables.

SideTracked Day 2016

Wednesday 10 August 2016 marks the 9th anniversary of the SideTracked Series.

To celebrate there's a special SideTracked 9th Anniversary badge when you find a SideTracked cache on 10 August 2016.

Also, there's a special SideTracked Day 2016 - Llangollen Flashmob profile badge, so when you attend this event you will now qualify for TWO profile badges, which you can proudly display on your public geocaching.com profile
