Art @ Silverwood Park Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

GCo: Too difficult to maintain as the artwork changes somewhat regularly. That and I have replaced three containers. Thanks for all who visited and for the cache of the month nomination.

Geocache Description:

February 2018
Grab the kids or bring a friend and,
Come visit Silverwood Park!
This multi-cache is intended to help geocachers discover all of the park's artwork so plan to spend some time here exploring this natural setting.

Nestled along the shores of Silver Lake, and with a focus on arts and the environment, Silverwood Park is unique in the metro area. One of Three Rivers Park District's parks, it is just minutes from a busy freeway and offers visitors an opportunity to relax in tranquil beauty and provides inspiration for artists.

Starting at the parking coordinates, the layout of each waypoint is intended to take you on a walking tour of the art in the park.

While the general trail system is a glorified loop, there will be times to backtrack or go off the paved trail.

Plan to spend an hour or more on foot or 30-40 minutes by bicycle. Remember, yield to pedestrians!

The Final placement of this multi-cache can be found at N 45 ab.cde and W 093 vw.xyz.

Each stage will take you to a piece of art and you will determine the numerical digits for the final coordinates.

*Boats: How many boats are in this installation X 2 = y
*Heron: How many letters in the artist's last name - 2 = c
*A Bend in the River: IT HAS BEEN REMOVED. 0=z
*Number: What big number do you see X 2 - 10 = a
*Clock: How many separated, individual square stones? Add the first digit to the second digit and - 7 = d
