Oakwood Village Library and Arts Centre is located at 341 Oakwood Ave (Oakwood and Rogers Rd). The library shares space with and art centre and has an available piano practise room. The library opened in 1997 making it one of the newer libraries in the Toronto Public Library system.
Oakwood Village is one of a handfull of libraries selected for the "Artists in the Library" program. This is a partnership initiative between the Toronto Arts Council and Toronto Public Library. The program aims to facilitate the animation of library spaces outside the downtown core, increase arts access in local communities and create new work and collaborative opportinities for Toronto artists.
A paid parking lot sits just east of the library, but hte #63 Ossington bus (Ossington subway station to Eglington West subway station) and the #161 Rogers Road bus (from Ossington station) make regular stops close to the library.
