Some of the geocachers and two muggles who helped clean up at the first CITO held here - GC6J9WX.
Work is being done to make this park a conservancy after it fell into a state of decay with vagrants living here and the municipality not maintaining it adequately. It will be called the Gardens Conservancy and it runs from behind Norwood Mall from the listed coordinates (next to Hamlin Street) to African Street. The entire park has been fenced off in preparation for major clean ups to improve it. The park has been locked for a couple of months now as work in cleaning it up starts. I have liaised with the Residents Association so that us geocachers can also help out and make this project a success. The first CITO was held here last month and was a huge success with 60 bags of rubbish being collected!
