This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website
Upper Halliford Halt as it was originally called was opened on 1 May 1944 by Southern Railway to serve a nearby wartime factory (British Thermostat Company). The second platform was opened on 6 May 1946.
Now Upper Halliford Station is on the Shepperton Branch Line which is a railway line in the south west of London terminating in London at Waterloo, though on opening it was named The Thames Valley Railway.
This is a quick cache and dash whether you arrive by train, on foot, or by motorised vehicle.
It is a small magnetic container big enough for some small swaps, but please bring your own pen.
Happy Hunting
