La tour M2 - Le verre à l'honneur
Située sur l'emplacement de l'ancien projet de la tour Generali, imaginée par le cabinet d'architectes Valode et Pistre, la tour M2 comptera 38 étages, soit une hauteur de 178 mètres. Toute de verre vêtue, elle fait référence au métier historique du groupe qui viendra y installer son siège mondial. Le futur occupant est en partie installé dans l’ensemble des « Miroirs » à l’entrée duquel vous vous trouvez. Saint Gobain voulait un projet à son image : une tour en verre, très aérienne. Chaque niveau disposera d'un accès direct à un espace de verdure donnant sur l'extérieur.
A terme, la tour M2 sera située à côté de l'immeuble Iris existant aujourd'hui. Ce dernier était en cours de destruction lors de la pose de la cache pour permettre de créer un parvis plus grand. La construction de cette tour et l'aménagement de l'espace public s'inscrivent dans la continuité du projet de transformation du boulevard circulaire en boulevard urbain. L'objectif : créer aux pieds des tours des espaces publics et par le biais d'un grand escalier monumental et de deux ascenseurs, permettre la liaison entre la ville de Courbevoie et la dalle de la Défense.
Pourquoi "VERT" ?
Ma première cache posée (GC3VHY2) était une boîte verte, avec un stylo vert, un log book vert et des objets d'échange verts. Ainsi est née l'idée de placer les caches qui ont suivi sous le signe du "VERT" et de proposer un challenge consistant à y déposer de préférence des objets "VERTs". Ce challenge ne peut malheureusement pas concerner les caches de taille nano ou micro.

The tower M2 - The glass in the honor

The construction of this tower and the public space layout join the continuity of the project of transformation of the circular boulevard in urban boulevard. The objective: to create in the feet of the towers public places and thanks to a monumental staircase and of two elevators, allow the connection between the city of Courbevoie and the "dalle" of La Defense.
Why "VERT" ?
My first geocache ( GC3VHY2) was a green box, with a green pen, a green log book and green items for exchange. So was born the idea to place the caches which followed under the sign of the "VERT" ("GREEN" in French) and to propose a challenge consisting in depositing there rather "VERT" items. This challenge cannot unfortunately concern the caches in nano or micro size.
