A = Number of heroes with a surname beginning with A on the side of the memorial
B = Number of letters in second word on line two of the FRONT
C = Number of heroes with a surname beginning with B on the side of the memorial
D = Number of letters in the surname of the 4th hero down on WW2 side of the memorial
E = Number of heroes with a surname beginning with H on the side of the memorial (note one has the H missing)
F = Number of letters of the last word on the FRONT of the memorial

There are literally thousands of War memorials around the country. Memorials were usually raised through public subscription to remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of our country. The year 2014 was the centenary of the start of the First World War, so it was about time there was a series dedicated to War Memorials. There is an un-numbered series in Scotland called Lest-we-forget and another called Poppies on Parade. Any of these will happily be added to the War Memorial Series, just ask for a number. The name of this series “We will remember them”, was chosen from the very moving poem “For the Fallen” by Laurence Binyon. It is well worth searching out and reading.”
