HUASHAN / MOUNT HUA :

Huashan or Mount Hua is situated in Huayin City, 120 kilometers from Xi'an in the Shaanxi Province. It is It is the western mountain of the Five Great Mountains of China and has a long history of religious significance. It is known for natural vista of steep and narrow paths, precipitous crags and a high mountain range. Mount Hua has five peaks and each has its distinctive charms: East Peak is the best place to enjoy the sunrise; South Peak has the highest altitude; West Peak is the most elegant; North Peak is famous as the Cloud Terrace Peak and Middle Peak is also called Jade Lady Peak. The wood plank seems to be the highlight of the trip for those who have no vertigo.
You will be able to find this cache will going to North Peak. To go there, you can either climb from the bottom of the mountain from the Jade Buddha Temple (Yuquan yuan) or take one of the two cable cars. There is one that goes to North Peak, more convenient if you want to find the cache but a lot of people prefer to go to the West cable car as you have more scenic spots around. If you do so, prepare yourself for a long walk with a lot of steps to reach North Peak (2-5 hours depending on your pace and the road you choose).
Huashan is know to be one of the most dangerous hike in the world. It is not anymore. You need a good physical condition if you want to visit all the peaks in one day but it is just steps. Some parts are very steep and some others have ladders. I have seen kids walking with their parents so it is not impossible, especially if you take the cable car up to save some energy. There are pricy accomodations up there but you could relax and enjoy sunset/sunrise. The scary part is the wood plank but you can avoid that if you have vertigo. It is the highlight for some people but Huashan itself will please most of travelers.

The cache is very near the summit of North Peak. I tried to place it where there are less people so you could look around. The small lunchbox is hidden on the ground level and has a small stone in front of it.
