This cache takes you to Capilano Park, on the south side of the river at the end of 50th Street. Riverside hiking trails all run parallel to the river and are designated off leash areas.
Waste Water cache leads you to a pleasant riverside walk at Capilano Park. This park was created in September 24, 1973, and its main industrial tenant is the Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant. Capilano Park was established in 1964 and both parks, like most of the parks in the region, have coal mining in their histories. As you loop around the plant and enter the riverside trails, you are on a gravel path that is very popular with residents. It is also a dog off leash area by the river, so be aware of wandering pets.
