#14 Aberdeen Angus Mystery Cache

About this series:

This series of caches is based upon the life and work of dairy farmers Mark & Pen DeLogg on the Lincolnshire Fens. As well clues to solving the puzzle on each cache page will be a fact about cows and their behaviour, as well as information about particular breeds of cattle around the British Isles and the world.

• The cache is not hidden at the published coordinates.
• Steep drops and water may be encounted at some GZs, keep the little ones safe.
• No animals were encountered when the caches were placed.
• The cache size was made as large as possible according to the hiding place, varying from magnetic nanos to regular size boxes
• You may need to provide your own TOTT i.e tweezers
• Please park sensibly, safely, and considerably.
• The D/T ratings concern the difficulty to both the puzzle and hides.

Aberdeen Angus cattle are naturally polled (No Horns).

Aberdeen Angus
Aberdeen Angus cattle have been recorded in Scotland since at least the 16th century in the country's North East. For some time before the 1800s, the hornless cattle in Aberdeenshire and Angus were called Angus doddies. The cattle became commonplace throughout the British Isles in the middle of the 20th century.
Angus cattle are naturally polled and solid black or red although the udder may be white. The native colour is black, but more recently red colours have emerged. In 2014, the British Cattle Movement Service named Angus the UK's most popular native beef breed, and the second most popular beef breed overall.
The main use of Angus cattle is for beef production and consumption. The beef can be marketed as superior due to its marbled appearance. This has led to many markets, including Australia, Japan and the UK to adopt it into the mainstream.

Now for the puzzle:

Mark DeLogg was driving home late one night; it was a terrible ugly dark night with rain beating down on the windshield. His car radio was tuned into Classic FM.

Playing on the radio was a tune that took him back to his childhood days.

It was Dvoraks New World Symphony No 9. Mark remembered the tune from when it used to advertise Hovis bread, when the young boy was pushing his bike up the steep hill.

His mind started to wander to when he was a young boy when he was clearing his Grandfathers attic out and the same tune was playing on the Bakelite radio.

It was in that attic that he found that funny looking keyboard of his Grandfather's. He hadn’t seen one like it and hasn’t seen one since. Suddenly the rain and the dark night didn’t seem quite so depressing.
