One of four caches around this historic and well-kept cemetery.
This cemetery was established in 1875 and is the final resting place of a number of notable Queens residents (including Millie Tunnell, a former slave who died at age 111 in 1896).
You do not need to enter the grounds to find the cache, and will generally be visually shielded from anyone on the cemetery grounds, but of course please be respectful of any mourners and of the importance of the location. The cemetery itself is well-kept and serene. A self-guided walking tour map is available on the Friends of Maple grove website here.
