Com início na zona das Refertas, Porto da Cruz, este percurso conduz o caminhante por uma viagem repleta de espécies diversas de flora e fauna endémica, assim como lindíssimas paisagens que mostram um pouco da beleza e tradição desta Ilha.
Na primeira parte do percurso poderá admirar a imponência da rocha da Penha dÁguia assim como as pitorescas edificações que constituem as povoações próximas. Poderá ainda apreciar os pequenos terrenos e plantações agrícolas, cuidadosamente trabalhados, pelos populares da zona.
A medida que o caminho vai avançando, vão ficando para trás os terrenos agrícolas dando lugar à magnífica e abundante vegetação característica desta zona, como o Azevinho (Ilex canariensis), o Barbusano (Appolonias barbujana), o Loureiro (Laurus azorica) entre muitas outras.
No final deste percurso irá encontrar um belo lugar com pequenas lagoas que se formam da água pura e cristalina trazida pela ribeira. Aproveite para relaxar e desfrutar de todo o envolvente. Depois de repor as energias, é tempo de regressar, seguindo o caminho inverso.

Beginning in the area of Refertas, Porto da Cruz, this trail leads hikers through a journey filled with several species of endemic flora and fauna, as well as beautiful landscapes that show some of the beauty and tradition of this island.
In the first part of the journey you can admire the imposing Rock of Penha dÁguia and the picturesque buildings that constitute the nearby villages. You can also enjoy the small plots and agricultural crops, carefully crafted by area residents.
As you move forward begins to emerge the magnificent and abundant vegetation characteristic of this zone, as the Holly (Ilex canariensis), the Barbusano (Appolonias barbujana), the Laurel (Laurus azorica) among many others.
At the end of this walk you will find a beautiful place with small lakes that are formed by the pure and crystalline water brought in by the river. Enjoy all the surroundings and take time to relax for a while. After resetting the energies, it is time to return, following the reverse path.

A cache está situada numa zona da levada entre a Terra Batista (Porto da Cruz) e o Lombro Grande (São Roque do Faial), e foi aí colocada para dar a conhecer esta parte do percurso. No GZ temos acesso a uma bela vista, desde a montanha até à ribeira, destacando-se pelo meio uma esplendorosa queda de água.
A levada é de fácil acesso, desde o seu início até à madre, tendo sempre proteções (varanda) nas zonas mais altas.
Siga todas as indicações (waypoints, coordenadas, dica e spoiler) e o container aparecerá sem dificuldade!

The cache:
The cache is located in the area between Terra Batista (Porto da Cruz) and Lombro Grande (São Roque do Faial), and was placed there to show this part of the route. At GZ we have access to a beautiful view over mountains and the river, especially through a splendorous waterfall.
The levada walk is easily accessible from the beginning to the mother, always taking protections in higher areas.
Follow all directions (waypoints, coordinates, hint and spoiler) and the container will appear without difficulty!
