Feb 16, 1954 Carl Heminger is preparing to move out of town again. When the citizens of Enterprise voted to use that name instead of Heminger City, Carl packed up and moved down the road apiece where he started a second Heminger City. Then the residents voted to name the place West Richland. Heminger City and Enterprise were 2 small towns that occupied the location of the current town of West Richland, situated just West of Richland, along the Yakima River.
