Located on the west side of the Mineral Mountain Range, Rock Corral Recreation Area affords spectacular views of the jagged, granite peaks that thrust from the desert floor up to the highest summit of the range, the 9,771-foot Granite Peak. Recreation opportunities are abundant and include rock climbing, primitive camping, rockhounding, horseback riding and picnicking. The area provides restrooms and covered picnic tables, which can be a nice respite from the often intense mid-summer heat.
