Barri yalug (running stream) is the Djab wurrung name for the creek that runs through the valley (Fyan's Creek).
Attempt this walk/hike from Brambuk Culture Centre, and allow a 1 hour return trip.
Walk to the open plains area, which is usually mobbed with kangaroos & emus. You may also encouter deer.
Pass the plantation, you will come to a management vehicle track, that links to the Boronia Peak fire trail.
If you have gotten to the intersection of the fire trail (left Halls Gap, right Pomonal) you have gone too far.
This cache is off track, and you will need to take a climb.
