Fun park with a great view of the Sleeping Giant! This hidden gem is a great place to bring the whole family. It features tennis courts, b-ball, kids play area, lots of grassy areas, a nice pavilion, a DOG PARK and much more. There is plenty of parking and it is all handicap accessible.

The Sleeping Giant land form was well-known to Native Americans in the United States. Members of Native American tribes as far away as present-day Minnesota knew of the landmark, and told the leaders of the Lewis and Clark Expedition about it. The Lewis and Clark Expedition camped below the Sleeping Giant and explored the area around it during their initial passage through the region in 1805. This natural and scenic area provides evergreen forests, sedimentary rock ledges and about 12 miles of shoreline. There is about seven miles of ridge line hiking routes offering spectacular panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains. Wildlife in the area includes mountain goat, elk, big horn sheep, deer, osprey, bald eagles and waterfowl. A portion of the Sleeping Giant Area is also part of the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail.

In 1991, the Bureau of Land Management recommended to Congress that the Sleeping Giant area be formally designated as wilderness. There continues to be a struggle to preserve this wilderness area.
