Geocache Description:

Cache was placed by Scout troop 2040. We had fun placing it and hope you have fun finding it.

The Liahona is a brass ball that operated as a type of compass with two spindles. The word Liahona is translated to mean compass, or to be lead in a certain direction.  Just like in times of the past we use modern tools that lead and guide us. As Scouts we are taught to always “Be Prepared”.  Part of being prepared is to always know where you are and where you’re going. We use GPS or a map and compass to find our way and very conveniently to also find Geocaches. Geocaching very nicely ties a lot of these life lessons together.

The cache is easy to get to and find. Please pay attention to people around this area. There is a lot of traffic through here randomly. Also the cache is big enough for small swag and trade items. Please sign the log and enjoy the hunt.
