Geocache Description:

This is the 30th geocache from Team Family Affair. Grand Cayman is the largest of the Cayman Islands and is 22 miles long by 8 miles wide. It is a very flat island and is home to about 32,000 full time residents under English rule. In the crystal clear waters you will find many ship wrecks and incredible opportunities for diving and snorkeling on the beautiful coral reefs. This virtual cache is located out on a sand bar in the North Sound. This is the area that is inhabited by stingrays. They began to feed in this area when local fishermen used to clean their fish and throw the leftovers overboard. The locals and tourists have been feeding these graceful creatures for many years and now they are tame enough to eat right out of your hand. They will swim between your legs and brush up against you. Snorkeling with the stingrays in the middle of the ocean is an experience you will always remember.

To log this cache as a find you must either:

  • Find the location and take a selfie picture of yourself and your team on the boat (with stingrays in view if possible)
We hope you enjoy this cache as much as we did creating it!
