Geocache Description:

This is the 29th geocache from Team Family Affair. Aruba is located just 20 miles off the coast of Venezuela and is a ancient volcanic island 19.6 miles long and 6 miles wide. If you travel along the islands Eastern edge you will pass through an area called Wishing rocks (lots of rocks standing up as little towers to the sky) then the old gold mine and smelter ruins dating back to over a 125 years ago. Finally you will travel into an area where the hard igneous rock has been left in place after the softer rock underneath was eroded away by the action of the large waves beating against the shore. This is the site of the Aruba's largest natural bridge. Be sure to bring your camera and check the area out!

To log this cache as a find you must either:

  • Find the location and take a picture of yourself (or one of your team members) with your GPS in hand, and the bridge in the background. Then upload and post it to your “found log” on this geocache page. (No GPS in the photo - then no found log. Old Photos do not count for anything other than a logged note).
  • Or email us ( TeamFamilyAffair@hotmail.com )the answer to the following question via e-mail: From the given cache site coordinates - look to the north (left) of the natural bridge and tell us what it says on the building in big red and yellow letters. If your answer is correct you can count this cache as a successful find.

We hope you enjoy this cache as much as we did creating it!
