Welcome to the Belle Isle Pot Luck Lunch
“2016 Belle Isle Event Day”




The Belle Isle Cachers are pleased to say that we have been working with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, City of Detroit, Detroit Zoo to produce another great year of caching on Belle Isle with full permission (with rules and use forms in place).

We will be kicking of the 2016 island caching season here today!
The event sign in will start at 10:00 am with the event starting at 10:30 am SHARP.

Here is the line up :
10:00 am, sign in and pot luck food drop off.
10:30 am, raffle for a potential FTF takes place (no guarantee for a FTF, just a head start). GPS units will start to be loaded at this time.
12:00 noon, pot luck lunch begins.
2:00 pm, pot luck ends… cache the island!!!

Stay warm, sign in early and get your raffle ticket starting at 8:30 am at the big Spring in Detroit XI event.
A great place to start the day with a warm breakfast and fellowship with many cachers from far and wide!

Please give all of us an idea of what you plan to bring for the pot luck as you log your will attend. This way others can decide if they want to bring something different than yours.
Hot Dogs, Buns, Condiments and Paper Products will be provided (until gone).

All vehicles entering the park must have a Recreation Passport.
Consistent with all Michigan state parks, a Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry to Belle Isle ($11 for Michigan vehicles, $5 for Michigan motorcycles). If you didn’t check yes to the Recreation Passport when you renewed your license plate, or if you will be visiting with a nonresident vehicle, you can purchase a window sticker at the entrance booth or at the Administration Building (White House). Nonresidents pay $31 for an annual pass or $9 for a day pass.
