Geocache Description:

Mid-1990s, Tri-Cities residents were surprised to see a large, pinkish bird in the Hanford Hills. Except for the coloring, many people thought the bird was some kind of a heron. Many people thought the heron was suffering from radiation poisoning. Local biologists finally identified it as a flamingo. Flamingos remains have been found in the Pacific Northwest, but todays climate is too cold. There are many theories on how the bird arrived. https://books.google.com/books?isbn=1402745451
