Všechny informace na tabulích jsou zajímavé, nás však budou zajímat zejména dvě infotabule, které se vztahují ke geologické expozici, a pak samotná expozice hornin, které jsou typické pro tento region. Právě těmto dvěma desítkám kamenů jsem se rozhodl věnovat tuto earthkeš.
Earthcache (někdy též familiárně nazývaná zeměkeš či earthka) je zvláštní typ virtuální cache, jejímž posláním je vzdělávání v geologii. Zakládá se v místech s geologickou či jinou zajímavostí týkající se naší Země. Úkolem návštěvníka není najít fyzickou schránku, ale dojít na dané místo, zjistit si pár informací a případně se vyfotit.
Geopark je přístupný 24 hodin denně a dá se do něj zajet i s kočárkem a je také přístupný pro vozíčkáře. Parkovacích míst pro auta je v okolí dostatek. Samozřejmě nedoporučuji noční odlov, jelikož ve tmě je špatně vidět a hůře by se vám zjišťovaly potřebné informace.
Pro uznání logu je potřeba zodpovědět následující otázky:
1) Jaké jsou tři základní typy hornin? (zjistíte buď na místě a nebo si předem najděte na internetu)
2) Uveďte alespoň dva příklady z vystavených vzorků ke každému typu. Pozor, vyskytují se tu pouze dva základní typy hornin.
3) Před kolika lety započala přeměna vyvřelin na území dnešního Českého lesa?
4) Jaká je převládající hornina tvořící Tachovskou brázdu? Z jakého místa pochází zde vystavený vzorek této horniny?
5) Na jednom ze vzorků je patrná výrazná žíla odlišné barvy, než má samotná hornina. Jaké je číslo tohoto vzorku a jaká je délka žíly na vyleštěné části?
6) Nepovinny úkol: vyfoťte sebe nebo alespoň svoji GPS u libovolného vzorku v geoparku, třeba ten, který se vám nejvíce líbí nebo vás něčím zaujal (prosím, vynechte vzorek z úkolu č.5). Tuto fotku přiložte k logu.
Odpovědi mi zasílejte přes profil (bud emailem nebo přes messages). Nemusíte čekat na potvrzení správnosti odpovědí a můžete logovat hned po jejich odeslání. V případě nejasností nebo pokud budete mít něco špatně, tak se vám ozvu.

[EN:]Initial coordinates will lead you in front of a newly renovated tourism services building called Rychta. In close proximity there is a small arboretum with nature trail and flora and minerals from the PLA Czech Forest. You will also find additional information boards relating to the history of Tachovsko and protected areas.
All the information on the boards are interesting, but we are particularly interested in two information boards that relate to geological display, and then the actual display of rocks that are typical for this region. Now these two dozen stones I decided to devote this earthcache.
An earthcache is a special type of virtual cache whose mission is education in geology. It is being based in places with geological or other interest of the Earth. The challenge is not to find the physical cache, but to come to the site, to find out some information and possibly to take a picture of yourself on site.
Geopark is accessible 24/7 and is also stroller and wheelchair accessible. There is enough of parking spaces for cars. Of course I do not recommend going there at night, because in the dark it is hard to see and you would have difficulty surveying the necessary information.
To validate the log, I need your answers to following questions:
1) What are three basic types of rock? (you´ll find out on site or you can browse on the net beforehand)
2) List at least 2 examples of exhibited samples for each type. There are only 2 types of rock here.
3) How many years ago began the transformation of igneous rocks in what is now the Czech Forest?
4) What is the predominant rock forming Tachovská Ridge? What city comes here exposed sample of this rock from?
5) On one of the samples there is a considerable vein of different color than the actual rock. What is the number of the sample and what is the length of the vein on the polished part?
6) Optional task: take a picture of yourself or at least of your GPS with any sample in the geopark, like the one that you like or are interested in the most (please, leave out the sample of task no. 5). Attach this photo to the logo.
