Geocache Description:

2 years ago a friend took me out on a short bike trip to show me "a game" he thought I would like. And boy, was he right! I got hooked on geocaching :)

My first year was mostly about Geocaching Bike Trips (GBT), it was the year when I went totally nuts and cycled from Denmark to France on what is still today the biggest bike trip I ever did: GBTE2014.  It was only natural to celebrate the 1 year aniversary also with a GBT, a trip that began with finding my #600 cache and ended with logging my first T5 climbing cache:

From that day on, during the whole year until today (when I write this description), I found and logged 75 T5 caches. That means we can call my second year of geocaching a T5 year (especially in the second half).

Needless to say that the only way to celebrate such a T5 year is, of course, with another T5 trip.  So, me and Kenneth, my "partner in crime" on most of the T5 caches I found, decided to take a trip to Århus, targeting the T5s there, but also searching all the T4+ caches along the way (it is actually a longer story about how we came up with this plan, but you will read that, and much more, on my blog, after the trip).

Besides T5 hunting, this past year I also began to enjoy more and more the social part of the game and so I try to make  events and meet geocachers wherever I travel (if I know about the trip at least 2 weeks in advance).

These are the main reasons this event has been created: because on this special day I will be in your city, and because I would love to meet some of the people behind the nice caches I found and will find in the area.

About the event:

There will be three of us leaving Odense in this two day trip and we plan to spend the night at the shelter. So we invite you to our camping site for a cozy evening around the fire, something warm to drink (please bring a cup), a piece of cake and maybe a taste of grilled "mititei".

If you would like a bigger feast, please feel free to bring along anything you feel like baking / grilling / frying over the fire, something to drink or whatever you think fits the event. Also, if anyone is interested in staying with us over night, please let us know in your log.

Bringing something to drink / eat or staying overnight IS NOT MANDATORY therefore it is NOT an Additional Logging Requirement (ALR). Attending the event is totally free of charge and anyone who comes to meet us can log the event, no matter how long he/she stays at the camp site... There will be an event logbook to be discovered and signed, and some other trackables and coins. Don't forget your own.

Hope to see you there! Everyone is welcome!

For staying overnight, there are 4-5 free sleeping places at this shelter, but there is another one close by that can host 18 people. Bring your own sleeping bag / mattress or other sleeping arrangements! Please remember to let us know about this in your log.

On this day I am going to log my #1200 cache found, 2 years after I started the game, precisely 2 times the amount of caches I had on the morning of my One Year anniversary.
