Geocache Description:

The search for this cache brings you to the base of a beautiful waterfall. The terrain is steep and difficult.

The cache is in a green ammo box with GEOCACHE painted in red on the sides. The original contents include:

- World Peace Keeper -
- Zebra Boy Key Chain -
- FedEx Mini Frisbee -
- Taz Air Freshener -
- Richard Petty Cherrios Car Tag -
- Mini Fan -
- Heat Factory Foot Warmers -
- adidas Pencils -
- Badger Healing Balm -
- Highway Patrol SUV -
- FedEx Van -
- Saluda Grade R.R. Spike -

You will need good shoes that grip wet rocks. Be sure to bring along a bottle of water. This is only a 3/4 mile hike one way, but steep and difficult terrain.

The parking coordinates are N35 15.714 W082 17.100. Do not block the gate with your car. Go past the orange pipe gate to find the trail. At .28 miles you have a stream crossing. At .51 miles take the trail to the left marked with a "Unprotected Waterfall" sign hung on a tree. Take the trail to the right at .54 mile and you will find a knotted rope which helps you down a small rock face. The cache is located downstream on the opposite side of the stream.

(Note: If the rope is missing, there is another trail to the bottom of the fall on the left of the main trail. It is easy to miss and might be mistaken for a wash, but becomes obvious as you decend. It is very steep, so take your time.)

DO NOT ATTEMPT FINDING THIS CACHE ALONE. CELL PHONES ARE USELESS FROM HERE. USE GOOD JUDGEMENT AND EXTREME CAUTION WHEN ROCKHOPPING DOWN STREAM. BE CAREFUL!
