In 1864,Teiuș forest was turned into a park, and 150 years later, Roman City had a Municipal Park people could brag about!
În anul 1864, pădurea Teiuș era transformată în parc, iar 150 de ani mai târziu, orașul Roman avea un Parc Municipal cu care să se poată lăuda.
The park has undergone many changes over the years and for the current layout a lot of work was done over a long period of time. Wehn I was still in junior high, the park had almost a relic. Yes, the nature was still in place, the trees were there, but besides that, nearly nothing else. Ppeople were rarely coming here to walk around, there were no attractions. In the last years, however, due to the renovations, the park has revived and during the summer it is full of visitors until the evening.
Parcul a trecut prin multe schimbări de-a lungul timpului iar pentru aspectul actual s-a lucrat mult timp. Prin vremea când eram elev, parcul ajunsese aproape o relicvă. Da, natura era încă la locul ei, copacii erau acolo, dar nimic altceva. Rar vedeai oameni venind să se plimbe pe aici fiindcă nu existau atracții. În ultimii ani însă, datorită renovărilor aduse, parcul a reînviat și pe timp de vară e plin de vizitatori, până seara.
Probably the biggest change brought to the parc is the small "zoo" which was built here. It's not really a zoo but rather two areas of the park that have been populated with animals. One of these areas is part of the main attraction of the park, the artificial lake. There, one of the three islands was transformed into the "Green Planet"(as it is called), being populated (durin summer) with various species of birds and small animals. Some of these birds (including a pair of black swans) can be observed more closely swimming on the lake, between boats and pedal boats (rented out to visitors).
Probabil cea mai mare schimbare adusă este mica "grădină zoologică" ce a fost construită aici. Nu e cu adevărat o grădină zoologică, ci mai degrabă sunt două zone ale parcului care au fost populate cu animale. Una din aceste zone face parte din atracția pricipală a parcului, lacul artificial. Acolo, o insulă din cele trei a fost transformată în "Planeta Verde", fiind populată pe timp de vară cu diverse specii de păsări și animale mici. Câteva din aceste păsări (inclusiv o pereche de lebede negre) pot fi observate mai îndeaproape înnotând pe lac, printre bărci și hidrobiciclete.
The second area, the one where this cache is taking you, is the deer and fallow deer enclosures. Also here, during winter, some of the birds are held in a separate enclosure, while "Green Planet" is frozen. Please be aware that is prohibited to aproach the area with dogs. Since you've been walking through the park, when you get here youdeserve to take a break on a bench ...
A doua zonă, cea în care te aduce acest cache, e zona țarcurilor cu căprioare și cerbi lopătari. De asemenea, tot aici, într-un țarc separat, sunt ținute pe timp de iarnă o parte din păsări, căci "Planeta Verde" e înghețată. Atenție, e interzisă apropierea de țarcuri dacă sunteți însoțiți de câini. Dacă tot te-ai plimbat prin parc, poate meriți aici să faci o pauză, pe o bancă...
Cycling is not allowed whiting the park, so while you are visiting here you will have to walk aside your bike (I recommend that, instead of parking it somewhere). Thank you!
