The Order of St Beryl...a leaping order.
According to Pete and Dud, for the Order of St Beryl it all began in the 14th or 15th century. When St Beryl, the daughter of St Vitus the well known dancer, lived in a strict order of nuns forbidden to take any life; human or animal. Around Norwich there were ghastly snakes that infested the area: vipers and adders, and that sort of thing. The snakes used to attack the nuns and bite them to death. However, owing to the nuns strict respect for life, they could not fight back so they arrived at the compromise of leaping over the snaky substances. Should a snake appear, up the nuns would go, and so the leaping nuns of Norwich came into being.
Leap year is special to the leaping Nuns as it provides an extra day of joyful leaping. This year Sister Dominacion has been put in charge of the order of the day and muddled things up a bit. Can you help her sort it out and in doing so discover where Mother Superior has left her leaping stick?
