Geocache Description:

This geocache is in memory of Karen Glassett, a beloved daugher, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.  Please find the log to sign in the geocache but we ask you to leave the treasures behind.

Karen Marie GlassettAt the age of 59, Karen Marie Glassett passed away on January 2, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA after a lengthy and heroic battle with cancer. Born May 7, 1949 in Schenectady, New York, Karen is the beloved wife of Roy Glassett and cherished daughter of James and Anna Pemrick. She is the loving mother of Stacey Glassett of San Jose, CA, Amy Mitchell of El Cajon, CA, and Sarah Farley of Monterey, CA. She is the adored grandmother of Haley Karen Mitchell and Davis John Farley. She is survived by a brother, Keith Pemrick and two sisters Kathy Bishop and Kolleen Morse; as well numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Karen moved to Santa Rosa in 1986 from San Jose, CA. She was the secretary at St. Eugene's Cathedral School for 20 years, retiring in 2006. Karen loved to volunteer and travel, but what she loved the most was spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her sense of community, her courage and strength, and her compassion and love for those around her. Every day spent with her was a gift.

Since her passing she has watched over 4 additional grandchildren, Madison Marie Farley, Callie Suzanne Mitchell, Aaron William Woodard, and Cameron Marie Woodard.  Her grandchildren know her in their hearts and see her in their dreams.  She is known to them as Grandma in Heaven.
