Geocache Description:

Jezerske planine - zvezdice

In res je dobil. Veliko kost.

Tam so ga že čakali orožniki.

Navodila: Za najdbo tega zaklada boste morali najti najprej zaklad Jezerske planine - Pozabljene igrače in Jezerske planine - Ankova hlapca.

Jezersko mountain pastures - Little stars (translation by Dulsineja)

The Jezerski vrh mountain pass has been used to travel from Carniola to Carinthia since time immemorial, and in the past there used to be an inn which was always well visited. Many travellers would stop there to have a drink or something to eat, and also to sleep the night if they were tired. The owner was making a nice living with this business, which was no secret to those living in the area and beyond. His inn did not attract only the travellers seeking for a good night's rest, but also those who were intent on gaining some of his riches - just like the bugs are attracted to light. Many had tried to rob the owner, but most of them got caught at it. The owner's rifle and his dog Sultan kicked the ass of many who tried - until a wild man called Rebrčan tried to seize his wealth. He was as bold as brass, and was feared by merchants and travellers alike. He had a hunger for easy money, and he was also clever. Thus he started coming often into the inn and built a confident relation with Sultan by throwing him a little extra every time he came there. The dog would not bark at him anymore, instead, it would be just wagging its tail and waiting for another piece of meat or a bone. Soon the dog got an extra again. A giant bone. While the dog was gnawing on the bone, Rebrčan leant a ladder against the wall and climbed through an open window right into the owner's bedroom. He grabbed a bag full of gold and precious stones that he found in the wardrobe. He slipped out of the house quickly and as silently as a mouse, and was about to make off with his ill-gotten gains.

But, to the thief's misfortune, the horse got upset and neighed. Sultan started barking and the inn's owner, with a rifle in his hand, was after the thief only moments later. Rebrčan swiftly mounted his horse and fled into the forest under the mountain tops. He got his horse to run its fastest so that the sparks from the horse's hoofs flew like fire. Rebrčan was forcing his horse without mercy as he heard the noise of his pursuers. Arriving to a clearing, the horse reared up and the bag with the stolen treasure was ripped open. The thief had just enough time to gather and hide the precious objects quickly. He marked the hiding place well and rushed further towards Korte, Carinthia. He did not get any further as he was captured by the authorities. The torn bag from the inn was enough evidence for the judge, and Rebrčan was thrown in a jail for a long time. Maybe he drinks water and eats mouldy bread even today. Or maybe, he has just been let out to freedom. There's no way of knowing it. What we do know is that the owner of the inn was so dismayed that he moved away, taking Sultan with him. The only remnant today is the abandoned inn. No one has ever found the treasure from the stolen bag. Maybe the glittering gold was taken by a cuckoo the day after the thief's escape attent. Or is it still in the hiding place? Who knows. Maybe you are the one to find it.

Instructions: To find this cache you will first have to find two other caches: first, Jezerske planine - Pozabljene igrače (Jezersko mountain pastures - Forgotten toys), and second, Jezerske planine - Ankova hlapca (Jezersko mountain pastures - Ank's farmhands). The first cache is located at the Rakež mountain pasture (Rakeževa planina) while the second cache is at the Ank mountain pasture (Ankova planina). In each of them you will find half of the coordinates for the starting point of this cache. From there onwards, you will be lead by tiny stars (spoke reflectors) - perhaps the shining spots are the sparks coming from the horse's hoofs from the story. If you are surrounded by total darkness for a little while, just continue walking in the direction where the robber fled. Stay on the dirt road - the robber also probably didn't go uphill with his horse! When you reach the point where the dirtroad starts going down towards Korte (Trögern), you will suddenly see lots of stars. But where is the cache? And what if the robber has just returned to get it? You will fare best if you grab you sword, put it between two stars and point it correctly. Indeed, the cache is not very far away.
