This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to my note I am archiving it.

Guidelines:**"You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."**

Geocache Description:

 Black magnetic micro cache.

Bolster Moor Baptist Church

Formerly known as Sunny Bank Particular Baptist Church until 1968 when the Clough Head congregation amalgamated with it.

Records relating to this church can be found at WYAS: Kirklees under reference number WYK1423

Established by thirty members who seceded from Pole Moor in 1882 because they objected to the use of fermented wine at the Lord's Supper.

Services were held in a cottage at Hart's Hill from January 1883. In March 1833 services were held in a carpenter's shop at Sunny Bank and a Sunday School was held in a cottage next door.

In 1888-1889 a chapel was built in Slades Road.

The church closed its door to worship in 2011 but is still used for other activities by the local community.
