This War Memorial Stands in the Market Place in Bolsover. It is a Stone Cross with a black sword mounted on it. It is placed on a hexagonal base. This was designed by Sir Reginald Bloomfield RA. There are the names of 222 service men and women that lost their lives in WW1 and WW2.
The Cache can be found at N53 A.CEG W001 B.DFH.
A. on the face of the stone plaque number of letter M's + the number of lights round the memorial.
B. from left to right On the third plaque. How many surnames beginning with S
C. Number of fences around the memorial DO NOT count the gate.
D. on the face of the stone plaque Number of letter H's - number of swords.
E. Number of stone seats in front of the memorial / number of lines that are dates only.
F. from left to right the number of names on the 1st plaque / (number of letters in the 3rd word on the stone plaque - number of 2 letter words).
G. on the face of the stone plaque how many times does the 9th word appear on the whole of the plaque
H. on the face of the stone plaque number of words not including & / the number of words along the edge of the stone plague.
