When I visited La Habanna, I thought, there should be a cache in or near the city center, so the caching tourist might find it easily and more or less quickly and, of course, see something he might have missed otherwise.
As it is very difficult to look after a cache that far from home, so I explained geocaching to our hosts Lourdes and José and left them a nice little box with a logbook inside. During daytime (and early evening) one of them will allways be there. Upon questioning them politely they will hand you the box to log it.
There is a trick to open it. You do not need force! It slides open gently. If you don't find the trick yourself, Lourdes or José will help you.
What to see: here is one of the casas particulares which you can find almost everywhere in Cuba. They rent rooms in their houses. You notice them for the sign: it looks like an upside-down anchor (blue sign-prices in CUC, red sign-MonedaNational). Often they also offer breakfast or even dinner. At this esp. casa we found a comfy home for a few days, and, most important, gentle people.
In these streets, you can also have a glance at the way Cubans live. Not glamourous, not restored in memory former times, not in-crowdy or sight-seeing, but real life. Nearby, there is a little creole restaurant and a pizzeria where Cuban people go to (if they can afford it). Remember this when you go back to your ressort/hotel and all the touristic places and try to see their view (what a rich person you are in relation to them, for example). Don't be angry about the prices or if some guys might bother you begging for money or soap or other stuff as if you were a charity-supermarket. You are none, me neather. One day, they might understand.
When you get in touch, you will notice the hearty and friendly kind, the helpfullness and happiness and the 'little' worries. Remember that, too. Take a little bit of that to your home :) You'll see, living will be lighter.

Qué ver: aquí es una de las casas particulares que se pueden encontrar en casi todas partes en Cuba. Se alquilan habitaciones en sus casas. Se les nota la señal: se ve como un ancla al revés ( azul inscripciones precios en CUC, rojo de sesión MonedaNational ). A menudo también ofrecen el desayuno o la cena. En este esp . casa que encontró un hogar cómodo durante unos días y , lo más importante, la gente amable.
En estas calles, también puedes tener una mirada a la forma en que viven los cubanos. No es atractivo, no restaurada en memoria tiempos pasados, y no en cheto o de turismo, pero la vida real. Cerca de allí, hay un pequeño restaurante criollo y una pizzería . Eso son los lugares pueblo cubano ir a ( si se lo pueden permitir ) . Recuerdes esto cuando tu vuelves a tu hotel y los lugares turísticos y trates de ver su punto de vista ( lo que una persona rica que eres, en relacion, por ejemplo). No te enojes a las precios o si algunos chicos podrían molestar pidiendo dinero o jabón u otro material como si fueras un supermercado caritativo. Tu eres ninguna, mi no tambien. Un día, podrían entender.
Cuando te ponges en contacto, te darás cuenta el tipo campechano y amable, la servicialidad y la felicidad y las preocupaciones 'pequeños'. Recuerdes que, también. Tomes un poco de eso a tu casa :) Ya verás, la vida será más ligero.

Als ich in La Habanna war, dachte ich, es wäre schön, wenn es in oder nahe der Altstadt einen Cache gäbe, der von cachenden Touristen einfach und relativ schnell gefunden werden kann und obendrein was zu entdecken/sehen bietet, was man sonst nicht wahrgenommen hätte.
Da es recht schwierig ist, einen Cache zu pflegen, der so weit von zu Hause entfernt liegt, habe ich kurzerhand unseren Gastwirten Lourdes und José das Geocachen erklärt und ihnen ein Döschen mit Logbuch da gelassen. Tagsüber (und am frühen Abend) ist immer einer der beiden da. Auf höfliche Nachfrage werden sie die Dose zum Loggen herausgeben.
Die Dose hat einen Trick. Du brauchst keine Kraft oder Gewalt. Sie gleitet quasi auf. Wenn Du allein den Trick nicht herausfindest, wird Lourdes oder José Dir helfen.
Was gibt's zu sehen: dieses ist eines von vielen Casas particulares, wie es sie quasi überall in Cuba gibt. Dort werden Zimmer vermietet, meist im eigenen Haus. Du erkennst sie am Zeichen: es sieht aus wie ein umgekehrter Anker (blau-Preise in CUC; rot-Moneda National). Oft bieten sie zusätzlich Frühstück, manchmal auch Abendessen an. In diesem speziellen Casa haben wir für einige Tage eine gemütliche Unterkunft gefunden und, am wichtigsten, nette Leute gefunden.
In diesen Straßen kannst Du außerdem einen Eindruck bekommen, wie Cubaner so leben. Nicht glamurös, nicht renoviert in Erinnerung an alte Zeiten, nicht Schickimicki oder Touristengetüdel, sondern echtes Leben. In der Nähe gibt es ein kleines kreolisches Restaurant und eine Pizzeria. Hierher gehen die Einheimischen (wenn sie es sich leisten können). Erinnere Dich hieran, wenn Du in dein Ressot/Hotel und die touristischen Bereiche zurückkehrst und versuche, ihren Standpunkt zu sehen (z.B. wie reich Du bist, relativ gesehen). Ärgere Dich nicht über die Preise oder die Typen, die Dich um Geld, Seife oder sonst was anbetteln als wärest Du ein Wohltätigkeits-Markt. Das bist Du so wenig wie ich. Vielleicht verstehen sie es irgendwann.
Wenn Du erst in Kontakt kommst, wirst Du merken, was für nette, warmherzige Leute hier leben, ihre Hilfsbereitschaft und Freundlichkeit und ihre 'kleinen' Sorgen erkennen. Erinnere Dich auch daran, wenn Du wieder zu Hause bist. Nimm ein bißchen davon mit. ;) Du wirst sehen, alles wird Dir leichter sein.
