Geocache Description:

Duck Creek Village, Utah is a spectacular place to visit. The community of Duck Creek sits at 8,400 feet just off Utah Scenic Highway 14 on what is commonly known as Cedar Mountain. This area is also known as the Markagunt Plateau and is part of the Dixie National Forest. Close by are a myriad of scenic attractions and areas for a wide range of activities. In the winter the region around Duck Creek Village is a snowmobile Mecca. Visitors also enjoy cross-country (x-country) skiing and snowshoeing. Nearby Brian Head Ski, Snowboard and Summer Resort is an excellent place to enjoy downhill skiing.

In the warmer months Duck Creek Village and the surrounding area are full of beautiful meadows, wildflowers, wildlife and trails which extend in all directions for hiking, mountain biking, ATV riding and much more. Fishing in local lakes and streams is excellent for rainbow and other trout. This part of southwestern Utah is ideal for scenic and wildlife photography. Elk, deer and rarely seen bears, mountain lions, bobcat and many other animals live on the mountain.
