This is one of the most interesting and weired places in Minsk! However, not only of Minsk, while the geological open-air museum is one of the kind in the whole Europe. It was founded in 1985 and the most unique and unusual glacial stones from all over the country were taken. For the delivery there were used not only automobiles but also 40 railway platforms. The most interesting fact is that 2,134 stone exhibits are arrange in the way that they represent the map of Belarus, its land, the composition of soil, location of rivers, lakes, heights, lowlands and towns. The created Experimental base of boulders is an original scientific laboratory in the open air and a unique museum of boulders destined to acquaint visitors with natural works, to help in training of geologists, to popularize geological sciences. Scientific research are carried out in order to create additional expositions in the Museum, to reflect various sides of the scientific and cognitive value of glacial boulders. The cache - is a small container wich is easy to find. But be aware, usually there are a lot of children around, so invisible mode is required. Have a nice time! =)
