Mississippi Pot Roast in Slow Cooker
Brown chuck roast in butter or olive oil in skillet.
When browned on both sides place in crock pot.
Sprinkle with one envelope dry ranch dressing,
a package of dry Au Jus mix,
and place a stick of butter on top.
On top of the butter and roast, place 5 pepperoncini peppers.
DO NOT ADD WATER.
Cook on low for 7-8 hrs.
Do not lift lid during that time.
Optional: Serve with horseradish sauce on the side.
