It will be a fun, socializing, geocaching event where any geocaching family/individual will be welcome to join. The event will be taking place from 26-28 February 2016, but you are more than welcome to only attend one or some of the days over the weekend although the best part is staying over and sharing in all the fun over the whole weekend. Bring along your camping gear, caravan, your family, fishing gear, swimwear, kayaks and whatever you need to have a fun time.
Situated on the banks of the Sundays river with lush green lawns and a lapa, there will be some cabins and campsites for you to find a place to sleep. The prices for 2015 are as follows (note that there will be a slight increase for 2016), they do have discounted prices for bigger families:
Accomodation:
Fish Eagle: R430 / night, minimum 2 nights (2 single beds & 1 bunk bed - incl. bedding, crockery, fridge, braaigrid, braaitongs and own bathroom)
Kingfisher: R410/night, minimum 2 nights (2 single beds & 1 bunk bed - incl. bedding, crockery, fridge, braaigrid, braaitongs and own bathroom)
Kiepersol: R330/night (1 double bed & 1 bunk bed - incl. matrasses, bring your own bedding, crockery, etc.)
*They are busy building a 4th cabin, which will be done by the February 2016
Camping: R80/adult & R40/scholar - (campsites do have electric points)
Please do your booking through Sitrusoewer and tell them that you will be part of the Geocaching group for that weekend.
There is a R50 day visitors fee for adults if you only visit for the day and do not sleep over. R30 for children.
Wood from the citrus orchards can be bought from them @ R30/bag (pre-ordered)
There is no kiosk on the premises. Kirkwood is a mere 8km from the campsite and boasts a SPAR, Tops, several butcheries and garages where you can stock up.

Activities:
We will be doing some caches in the area over the weekend. There will be no set group caching, but you are more than welcome to grab another team and buddy up if you don't feel like being alone. There will be plenty of local teams that know the area well and who will not mind teaming up with you if you are not from the area. A great opportunity to make new friends. Keep an eye on the area as to not miss the caches that will be placed especially for the weekend. I can assure you, there will be plenty to choose from. Cellphone reception is good, so you will not struggle to quickly run a pocket query if need be.
The weekend will be the perfect opportunity to do your 8 icons (traditional, multi, earth, puzzle, letterbox, event, cito and wherigo) in one day.
The event will officially start 16:00 on the Friday afternoon (26 February) and end at 12:00 on the Sunday morning (28 February). You are more than welcome to join and leave as you please.
For any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me. Remember to do your booking through Sitrusoewer. Their details can be found below:
