Ermida de Nossa Senhora das Neves

Situada num local sobranceiro à Vila a Ermida de capela cúbica, no seu interior é um espaço que embora despojado de elementos artísticos, tem bastante destaque nesta sua tipologia arquitectónica e um interessante detalhe na execução da sua cobertura. A Ermida construída no local onde anteriormente se ergueu uma torre de época islâmica, pertence ao mesmo grupo de pequenas ermidas de planta centralizada, segundo um ordenamento espacial já indicador do período barroco, mas cujas origens se prendem a modelos assimilados na Península Ibérica durante o período de ocupação islâmica.

Não é visitável, embora seja local de uma importante romaria, a da Nossa Senhora das Neves.

Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows

Situated in a location overlooking the village the Chapel of cubic chapel inside, is an area that although stripped of artistic elements, has highlighted this architectonic typology and it has an interesting detail in the execution of your coverage. The chapel built on the site where previously stood a tower of Islamic epoch, belongs to the same group of small chapels of centralized plant, according to a spatial planning as an indicator of the Baroque period, but whose origins are related to models treated in the Iberian Peninsula during the period of Islamic occupation.

It can’t be visited, although it is an important place of pilgrimage to Our Lady of the Snows.
