Located in the Historic Downtown area, Le Petit Theatre du Terrebonne was formed in 1938 by a local community theater group. The playhouse was established through the efforts of Esther McCollam who remained active in the theater community from 1941 and reorganized it in 1955. In addition, this facility is registered on the Louisiana Historic Registry. Many locals get involved by attending performance or by acting, creating sets, helping with lighting or working backstage.
