Geocache Description:

The Parish Church of St Nicholas is a warm and welcoming church in the centre of the community. This CM is a multi due to the location of another cache but is as close as it could be to the church and just a few minutes walk.

You are looking for a custom made nano

The grade 1 listed church building is kept open from 10am until dusk. Visitors are always welcome, and there are guide books for sale near the door. When I visited to set up the cache the vicar appeared and stopped to chat with some visitors, this isn't one of those churches where you will find yourself ignored!
Rattlesden is a village with stunning views from all around thanks to its position at the bottom of a valley. During World War II, Rattlesden was the site of a U.S. Army Air Force heavy bomber base known as RAF Rattlesden. The site is now used for Gliding and can be found in the South West corner of the village. A memorial to the 447th Bomb Group is situated in Hightown Green, one of two Hamlets (along with Poystreet Green) that are including in the Parish of Rattlesden.
