Carleen Community Church is an intriguing building just outside the village of Carleen. I have unfortunately not been able to discover much detail about its history.
It is a place of worship of the Apostolic Church UK, a pentecostal christian denomination which was founded during the Welsh Revival (1904-05) and has two other churches in Cornwall in Porthleven and Penzance.
Despite the relatively recent origin of the denomination, the church seeks to stand for first century Christianity in its faith, practices, and government. The worldwide vision of the church is evidenced by a strong missionary concern. The movement, which commenced in Welsh-speaking villages of south Wales had, by the end of the 20th century, grown to over 15 million members in approximately 100 nations.
The co-ordinates bring you to the front of the church. On the notice board is a mobile phone number: ABCDC AEFDDA
